"You're not beginning to doubt yourself, are you General Paurillon?" A heavy set boar asked as he casually walked his horse to the top of a small hill. The boar was dressed in light chainmail with a finely tailored tunic over his person bearing the colors of Faholgal.
Sitting with a straight back on top of his horse over looking the village the small village in front of the hill, a heavily armored male dressed in Faholgan uniform scowled. "I do not doubt myself, nor will I ever." The eagle replied to the boar, who stopped his horse next to the general's.
"Then why do you hesitate to move forward?" The boar impudently asked. "The village is right in front of you."
"I do not want this to end on a reverse note." The eagle stated and slowly turned his head seriously to the boar. "I do not wish to be hung by Faholgan judgement."
The boar chuckled and smirked forward towards the unsuspecting town. "If anyone were to question you, you weren't even here. You were up north praying to your god." He paused to smile wider. "But we both know why we're both here. You're here to eradicate anyone under the Eye of Michael banner and you need me and my affiliation to do it AND put you in a higher title."
The eagle gave a rumbled groan. "Do not speak so openly, Vaako." he looked forward with the same scowl. "I will not risk everything because you decided to open your mouth too widely."
Vaako smiled widely with lowered eyebrows. "Soon, that wont need to be a worry... The Eye of Michael will lose its power and a new one will reign over Faholgal. And you are guaranteed the highest military position. ...There is no need to worry."
A soldier dressed in Faholgan uniform walked up the opposite side of the hill, coming from the town, and approached the general. "There is no military pressence within the town, General. Are we still to attack?"
"They are under the colors of the ministry. There is always a military pressence." The eagle stated discontently.
"But, Sir. This is a farming community. Most of the people down there show no sign of even serving under the ministry. They're defenseless agai.."
"Are you questioning your general, ..Soldier?" Vaako interrupted. "He has given his order and you shall follow it."
"...Yes, Sir." the soldier gave a quick nod.
"They serve the Eye of Michael, correct?" Vaako questioned.
"Yes. We ARE outside of Faholgan territory and within the ministry's lands..."
"Then they are our enemy." General Paurillon said as he scowled toward the town. "It is will of our God to eradicate them... We move forward."
"Yes, General." The soldier responded and walked past the two horses and over to the other side of the hill.
The eagle gave another low groan before he lowered his taloned hand to his side and unsheathed his sword. Once the sword was unsheathed, the general raised it above his head.
Responding to the signal given by General Paurillon, a small army of Faholgan soldiers and calvary at the bottom of the hill behind him roared out and unsheathed their swords; ready to charge over the hill and towards the town.
"They will fight back.." The general noted as several townspeople within the town became alerted to the army heard beyond the hill.
"Where's the sport without it?" Vaako said with a smirk and charged his horse forward.
The general's sword then aggressively pointed forward and began to move his horse forward as well. The army behind him roared out more loudly.
Horses and armored men were heard just beyond the hill from the town. The ground shook as hundreds of soldiers charged up the hill, their charge sounding like a malicious thunder storm to rain upon the town in a vicious fury.
