Debalora gave a weakened gasp, giving a shocked look before sorrow quickly overcame her. "No!" She said loudly, refusing to believe it. She knew Vincent's return was too good to be true! They used her son to bring him back. Tears quickly filled her eyes as he gaze wandered aimlessly. "They killed him! They took my son!" Saddened features scrunched uncontrollably as she wept.

Eyes widened as Antonis saw Debalora quickly coming to sorrow. He moved himself in front of her, taking her other shoulder and pulled her close to him. It was the only thing he could do for her. He knew she had to overcome this herself.

"Deba..." he whispered, pressing his head against hers as he, himself, held a pained expression. It was hard on all of them...but Antonis couldn't show his sorrow as the leader. But with Debalora...he had great trust in her.

Some yards away, Vincent had calmed down somewhat with Aidan following behind. He had no idea why but he never told the cat to go away. Somehow it helped.

"I don't think we should---" Aidan began before Vincent suddenly stopped, his eyes widening as he stared at the scene before him. There she was...being held...by that man! Aidan came behind Vincent, looking at him curiously until he followed his gaze, holding a gasp as he saw Antonis with Debalora.

He certainly knew that Vincent was Deba's husband. He quickly grabbed Vincent by his coat, pulling him away in case they were to be seen. "Come on." he said quietly, still tugging at Vincent. The mouse only stood there with a dumbstruck face.

"...Deba...lora?" he muttered, paying no attention to Aidan.

"Come on...you don't...Let's go."

Antonis was holding her so lovingly, clueless who was watching...and she was...

His eyes dampened as he stared, feeling his chest tearing apart. All this time he had fought to see her and now the brutal truth was clear. She was with another man...and...Vincent turned away, almost causing Aidan to fall back as he stormed off the opposite direction.

Wary breaths were taken as Debalora tried to speak through her cries; keeping her forehead against Antonis'. "I should have been with him. I could have protected him and kept those cultist murderers away!" she sniffed loudly and shifted her head Antonis' shoulder to hug him tighter.

A long moment passed before tear filled eyes weakly opened. "Its not fair... Why am I never there to save those I care about?" She sniffed loudly, barely able to speak through her cries. "Everything is being taken away from me and I can't do anything about it."

Movement, a ways past Antonis, caught Debalora's eye. Through tear blurred eyes, she couldn't tell what it was until her eyes finally focused as she saw the figure turn around and walk away. Debalora's entire form tensed up in shock with widened eyes watching Vincent storming off. "Vincent.." she managed to barely whisper.

Hearing the name, Antonis moved his head, pointing it where Debalora was and saw another dark figure moving behind the first. His ears lowered as a grim expression took his features. Mentally, he was preparing himself for the next time he met Vincent.

Keeping his pace up in determination, Vincent grit his teeth as thousands of thoughts raced past his mind. Aidan had to jog somewhat to keep up.

"Vinnie! Slow down--" Aidan called from behind in worry. Seeing his wife like that with Antonis...he never knew how a husband would react. There were only two ways in his book, sorrow or rage. Not very good choices.

Vincent turned his head, reddened eyes squinting as he glared back to Aidan. "Why should I!?"

"You're going too--"

The mouse stopped and whipped around and just as Aidan came to a halt, Vincent grabbed him by the collar, lifting him with ease and pressing him against a tree. Aidan stared in shock, lips parted as he saw the anger in Vinnie's eyes. It seems he went with Anger.

"What are you doing?! I'm a complete stranger so why follow me around?" Vincent growled, "Especially when I saw my wife with another man. Doesn't it seem a bit dangerous to be around someone like that?"

"...I--I've been with worse." Aidan admitted, although his worried gaze never left.

"So what? You feel sorry for me, is that it?" Vincent jerked Aidan roughly, "I don't need sympathy!"

Aidan rose a hand, moving it over Vincent's hand that held him as his features saddened. "I know. But it's worse being alone..." he ended quietly. Vincent heard the knowing tones of it, remembering his first impression of Aidan.

He loosened his grip on Aidan, pulling himself back, "I take it you know from experience?"

The cat glanced away as his ears lowered. Suddenly Vincent felt ashamed of himself for roughing up Aidan. He didn't deserve that at all--he was only trying...

"I'm sorry...I'm just--" Vincent tried, failed, and looked away.

Aidan nodded, "It's fine."

Vincent sighed. It seemed they both were lost, wandering unknowingly into some bleak future. He rubbed his head. Did he really think that?

"Come on. We're going to a pub." Vincent grumbled, turning around to walk back towards town. As always, Aidan followed.
