Brandon Valerik walked into the room after Debbreh, walking past her looking around curiously before his eyes set onto Antonis. He had been summoned here but Debbreh decided to come along.

Debbreh knew it was a bit much, but with Voltrick and that kid Gordan she felt wrong leaving Brandon. Even if it was to the other side of the building. Too protective? Most likely, but it’s not every day she feel's protective of someone. Frustrated features looked around the room after entering. As Brandon passed, she turned her gaze to him then to Antonis. A partial scowl never leaving, mainly due to her back still hurting from a few days ago. The jacket she wore had scattered burnt holes in it from her flesh burning from the light. Not that she cared too much for that though.

Antonis had seated himself on the bed, looking to the floor with his hands held together and elbows resting on his knees as he leaned forward in thought. It will be difficult...but it had to be done. An ear flickered when the doorknob clicked, glancing over to see Brandon and...Debbreh enter. A partial frown was seen from this newcomer, but he stood nonetheless respectfully and came to stand before Brandon. He paused, looking the younger one over, "How do you feel?"

Brandon Valerik gazed upwards to find Antonis standing before him, straightening his back in attention. One would call it respect. "I'm better than yesterday. I...didn't know my mother was capable of that..." he added, glancing down. He never imagined...Did father know? He didn't feel it was right to ask Debbreh at the time. His thoughts came back to reality as his eyes looked to Antonis' chest, completely clothed and no trace of a bandage. He saw what had happened to the General. It was amazing he could even be alive as if it didn't occur.

Debbreh's arms found their way to be folded across her chest. It was a little awkward. Brandon was the one who was summoned, not her.. but she came anyways. But it doesn't matter. What did matter was the overall emotion coming from Antonis.

Antonis nodded in response, "Nor did I." His eyes rose to look at Debbreh for a moment before straightening himself up, clearing his throat purposely. "Well it's best you were here, Debbreh." He began, taking a step towards Brandon and placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "I believe it's time for Brandon to stay and train with me." Antonis was never known to dance around something. Always to the point.

Brandon Valerik widened his eyes to what Antonis said. He stared up at the General, letting the words sink in until a distinct feeling of pride enveloped him. To have a General of an army personally train you...an honor! He couldn't help a grin until he turned his head to look at Debbreh, realizing she would feel offended by this. The grin disappeared as he felt guilty for her. She's been with him as long as he knew her...

Debbreh's eyebrows lowered further and eyes narrowed. "You have already been training him. Are you saying you want to completely take over with his training without the troublesome half monster in the way? I see how it is."

Antonis' lips thinned in his usual stoic manner as he gazed at Debbreh carefully. He allowed his hand to lower a little across Brandon's shoulder, the only sign of movement. "I never said that. But I am afraid you may have different intentions for him."

Brandon Valerik glanced back and forth to them as he listened to this unfolding argument. He felt as though they argued over him as if he weren't standing between the two. His ears lowered in guilt letting his gaze fall to the side, feeling quite small.

Debbreh's back arched slightly and angled her head closer to Antonis. "Other…intentions? And what the heck is that supposed to mean?" Who does he think he is?! Does he even know who I am?! Some freak who's too stupid for their own good?!

Antonis didn't need to look at Brandon to know the boy was getting unsettled. He tightened his hold on Brandon's shoulder as support, his eyes never leaving their stern gaze from Debbreh. "Please do not take my words offensively." he said politely, "But he needs a centered mentor...One who does not anger so quickly."

Brandon Valerik felt Antonis' hand squeeze his shoulder reassuringly, looking up to him. Focusing on his features, Brandon noticed how sure the General was to this decision, especially how he spoke with such authority. It wasn't any wonder the others did was Antonis said without a hesitation. Well....the doctor would complain but did it anyway.
Debbreh moved her head back. "Oh ho hoo..." she gave a sarcastic smirk. "I see. Because you know me so well. After all of the time you've been with us, you've seen every little thing I've become angry at. You've seen what makes me angry and how 'quickly' I come to anger." She continued; walking closer to Antonis. "You don't know me. You don't know how I am. You barely know who I am."

Antonis' frown lowered as he watched Debbreh approach closer, letting his hand fall from Brandon's shoulder to his own side. "You're right. I barely know you. And it seems strange to me to know you've decided to train Brandon when you chose to come along back to the mansion. So tell me...Just how well does Brandon know you during the time you've been with us?"

Brandon Valerik felt uneasy as Debbreh approached closer, thinking she were provoking Antonis...leading to a fight. When Antonis lowered his hand, Brandon took a polite step to the side to allow them space, looking at them quite innocently.

Debbreh snarled; making sure she was face to face with Antonis. "A lot more than you." She pulled back slightly. "But, how could you? You…being the self-elected leader of us all, how could you know any of us." Had it been years ago, she would have already tried to fight him. But lessons were learned and hearing Brandon's thoughts alone pulled her back. Brandon wants to be taught by him; follow his every whim. What use is a half breed with a temper? Red eyes narrowed.

Antonis would not allow himself the pleasure of returning with remarks. Instead he stared dead into her strange red eyes. He was not frightened of her. If he knew her type, she would have made a move to hurt him in some way already. But self-elected? That was rather uncalled for. He always believed it was best for him to lead instead of allowing them to the mercy of an organization they don't understand. "I've known his father well before you've met him yourself. I think I know what kind of son he raised."

Debbreh looked toward Brandon a moment, but still spoke to Antonis. "I know plenty." Red eyes flashed brighter as her head turned to Antonis again. "Just as much as I know about you." She would give anything to punch him in the face right now. But she knew Brandon. He needed someone to look up to. Someone to admire. And she was doing a heck of a job of it. Arguing with someone who thinks he's choosing what's best for him. And all she did was follow him around and tell him to swing a sword around.
Antonis' eyes squinted as he examined Debbreh's eyes as they flashed red. It was a strange sight. His own closed as he lifted his chin slightly, "Very well..." he began, turning to walks towards the door, "Brandon will decide." was his final answer to it all. He will not provoke Debbreh further, seeing her patience waning. It didn't take a genius to figure that much. Besides, he didn't want to seem so pressing to have Brandon under his wing, as much as he wanted that to be the case. These decisions were delicate. Reaching the door, he didn't hesitate to open and let himself out, allowing the two their privacy.
