Denzel awakes to find Aidan has already left to places unknown. He has searched the area, but to no luck. Now he has to go back to Antonis and explain what happened.

Setting: Tavern/Inn
Who's in the room so far: Antonis, Tamil, and Denzel
Time: Just after Aidan was taken by Voltrick to the ministry

Denzel stormed inside the room, his breathes heavy as he looked around with frantic eyes to see Antonis and Tamil sitting at a table.

"G-General!" he gasped, staggering towards them in near exhaustion. Antonis quickly turned to see Denzel so distraught. He stood, placing firm hands on the fox's shoulders.

"Calm down! What happened?" Antonis paused for a moment before looking towards the vacant doorway, "...Where's Aidan?"

"I..." Denzel began timidly, his eyes lowered towards the ground, "I searched for two days..."

The General gave Denzel a hardened look, the hands on his shoulders tightening. "Where's Aidan?" he repeated in impatience.

"I don't know! He never came back!" Denzel caught his breath, "I-I thought he would have tried to come back here."

Denzel felt Antonis' grip lighten, taking this time to take a few steps away. His eyes caught sight of Tamil, who was now standing and looking his way.

Tamil's attention was immediately drawn to the fox, who darted inside. A stern look crossed his features, seeing Denzel's urgency. As the frantic conversation continued, Tamil's impatience soon grew as Antonis' did. Quickly realizing that thier fox friend had somehow lost Aidan, he slowly stood as he intently listened; not being pleased in the least bit. Infact, frustration soon arose and transformed into anger.
"You lost Aidan? How could you have allowed him to leave when he was in your charge?" Tamil demanded; his features hardened.

Denzel gave Tamil a hard sneer to his ignorance, "I didn't let him leave!" he paused, glancing away from them as though in embarrassment, "I simply didn't realize he was leaving for good..."

Antonis took hold of the doctor by the collar, pulling him face-to-face after that mutter, "You didn't realize?!"

Fighting against the hold, Denzel managed release after giving Antonis a good shove, "You're the one who threw him out! Not me! His reaction was bound to happen sooner or later!" He shouted, an accusing finger pointed to Antonis' chest. Denzel held a scowling look upon his face, his spectacles slipping down his maw, "And since you exiled him, he has two choices: crawl back to you or to Murdoc!" He turned suddenly as he noticed Antonis' features becoming downcast, unable to withstand that sort of expression on the General. Denzel became silent with his back turned to them, his expression one as if he were considering something.

"There's no doubt he'll accept Murdoc now." Denzel admitted after a pause, quite silently. "Murdoc would never reject him for--"

"So you are saying this is my fault!" Antonis interrupted.

"Yes I am!" Said the doctor, turning to glare at Antonis, finding his cheeks hot in anger.

[OOC- Oh no you di'nt!]

Tamil growled as Denzel shifted his own blame. He was the one who lost him! Aidan was more like a child now.. not that he was a child. But in this situation.. Denzel was the babysitter who left the scissors on the floor while the child ran around.

"Your carelessness is what allowed him to leave." His tone sounded as if he was growling through his words. "And to even think that Aidan would choose Murdoc is unspeakable!"

Denzel's fiery gaze turned towards Tamil after his accusation. His fists cringed tightly against his sides as he fought with himself to at least hold a proper posture. " ' Unspeakable'?! There is nothing unspeakable about it! Where else is he to go?!" Again, his finger rose to point towards Antonis, though his eyes remained on Tamil. "His carelessness is what got us into this argument! He's responsible for everything that has happened to us!" Denzel's voice rose in anger as he finished, turning his head to look at Antonis with a testing look. "Do you deny it?! General?!"

The room then took silence. Denzel pressed his lips thin as he lowered his hand. This was no longer an argument about Aidan, not who was to blame, but of Antonis' credibility. The air became tense as all three realized this.

Antonis kept a silent gaze on Denzel, who stood before him, with a stoic look. It was not difficult, however, to tell he was deeply considering what to say next.

Tamil's features hardened further with a snarl, but once Denzel made his final accusation Tamil's gaze turned more surprised and quickly turned to Antonis; expecting some sort of angered reply or the back of his hand against Denzel. But the general's silence made him question it.

Denzel turned, beginning a slow pace with his hands behind his back. He took it upon himself to end this silence.

"I understand how much this is for you," he began, "But--"

"Do not dare give me pity!" Antonis snapped, looking at Denzel wildly.

The doctor took this opportunity, "And that's just it! You never want anyone else helping you! Look at yourself! That resolve is what caused you to throw Aidan away!"

"That's not true!"

"Then what is true?!" Denzel snapped back, testing this doubt.

Antonis was stricken silent once more, causing him to grimace at his inability to reply back.

"You see, Tamil?" the doctor asked, turning to Tamil with a hand gesturing towards the quiet General. "He can not even answer for his actions. And on the account of one he cared deeply about, no less! How do you take that?" This turn of attention was done purposefully, putting the spotlight onto Tamil to test his own loyalty.

"He has already given his reasons. I questioned them at first, but it was for Aidan's own protection." Tamil reasoned. He may not have completely agreed with Antonis' decision, but he couldn't stand Denzel talking down to the General as he was.

"Aidan's own protection you say?" Denzel repeated, mocking surprise. "Well! He's certainly in a better place now! You should have gone with your doubts, Tamil." he continued, turning so his back faced them emphatically.

"Do not try and turn the blame around for you to slip away, Mowinckel." Antonis addressed knowingly.

This caused the fox to turn and glare at Antonis, "I am questioning the overall state of where we are! Look at us! Hiding in this cave you call an inn from thousands of soldiers under Murdoc's control. What are the odds of winning against that?!" Denzel argued, his stern expression now turning into a plea, as though wanting them so badly to see his point.

"You are suggesting we abandon this rebellion?" the General asked slowly.

"Yes! We can run away and let things be! Put all this behind us and live decent lives!"

Tamil growled and stepped forward. "..And disregard everything we have sacrificed, everything we have hoped to achieve?!" he pressed; his angered tone returning. "Have you forgotten the reason why we have made our choice for rebellion?" He stepped closer, but not face to face with the fox.

"You are a coward."

The thoughts of what Tamil sacrificed alone angered him. The injuries, facing death, abandoning everything he knew and worked for... all sacrificed because of the vicious choices of their 'leaders'.

"Am I a coward for thinking rationally?! I beg to differ on that matter!" Denzel snapped to Tamil. "You militants have always thought so simplemindedly! See your goals so narrowly that you forget everything around you!"

"Don't get yourself carried away, Denzel." Antonis finally interrupted, "There's no point in talking to us that way."

"Ho! I'm surprised to hear you speak again! And why? Does it trouble you that I talk like this? Aidan would have come to realize the logic of my thoughts, never having been in a real battle before."

Antonis narrowed his eyes as he looked at Denzel, "He would. But he would never have questioned me like you are now."

"You listen to me!" Denzel barked, turning to face Antonis, "I never had as much commitment as you or Tamil to this rebellion! In fact, I only aided you because I am your friend! I would lie if I said I didn't care about you all, especially Aidan. But this is not a matter of cowardice..." He glanced at Tamil, "...but in knowing when you've been defeated."

Tamil's teeth grit. "We are not defeated. As long as there is hope, there will be a way. You may be easily convinced of defeat. But you look at it as a person who was only apart of it, not truly believing in it.... You claim to have seen everything around yourself," a fist rose and shook with his next sentence. "But you have failed to see what the ministry has been doing, what it will do." His fist lowered and angled his head closer with a sneer. "Can you live with the fact that others will suffer because you failed to act?!"

Tamil was just about finished with this 'doctor'. If he wasn't trying to defend Antonis, he would have left already.

Antonis rose a hand to silence Tamil just after he spoke, worried he would say more. Denzel watched this gesture curiously until Antonis looked at the doctor quietly.

"This argument will end. Denzel is right to say that we are vastly outnumbered..." he said, glancing to Tamil then back to the doctor. "However, we've come this far. Would you simply abandon this rebellion...after everything Aidan had gone through for our sake?"

Denzel frowned heavily, looking away from the General to his point. Antonis took a deep breath as though to calm himself.

"Perhaps you two will find it within yourselves to resolve this. I will not take part in it." he growled, turning towards the door. Denzel's accusations were not forgotten; quite the opposite. Antonis must think to himself for a while.

"Look at him! He can't even listen to me!"

Antonis gripped the doorknob tightly at this, frowning as he forced himself out of the room. Denzel scoffed at the general's exit, turning his attention to Tamil silently, his arms crossed and tapping a finger.

Tamil was quickly silenced with Antonis' gesture, although his glaring scowl remained on Denzel. He remained silent as commanded and only turned his glance when the general turned his gaze toward him. Once Antonis began to leave, Tamil's scowl quickly returned to Denzel with the full intent to continue this argument once Antonis left.


There was a slight tug on the door as Antonis pulled the door to exit the room, but quickly released itself when the person on the other side realized the door was being opened by another.

Draco stood in the doorway. A frustrated glance down toward the handle was first apparent, but when realizing it was Antonis, a more surprised look revealed itself.
"Antonis, I have urgent news that requires our attention." The older canine spoke with an exigent tone. His gaze shifted to the others in the room. A more questioning look crossed his features when he noticed the vehement demeanor of both Tamil and Denzel. Ignoring his curiosity for the situation, he returned his attention to Antonis.
