He realized she spoke as though she had known him for a long time. And yet this was the first time he had met her.

"I don't know." he answered after a moment's silence. His expression lowered in a downcast look with his eyes to the floor, "Aidan's there...and I don't know what they will do with him." He said softly. He was no longer mindful that they were his enemies, instead, thought of Fyren and Denzel. They were working together, no doubt, and he was recalling the things Fyren had said about Aidan trying to find if he were a threat to his friend.

"Then I suggest you give yourself the time to think hard on what you should do. If staying here will give you that time, then I suggest you stay." Debalora stated as she turned slightly, raising her hand and gently placing upon Murdoc's wounded shoulder without putting too much pressure on it to cause more pain. "Thank you for helping Antonis.. I know it pains you to do such." Debalora's hand would feel as if it was a bit warm, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Murdoc was honestly surprised by Debalora's actions. Let alone what she was saying to him. Didn't she suffer what he had inflicted upon them all? He looked at the hand on his shoulder and then to her.

"As much as I hate the General, I cannot allow that to stop me from helping Aidan." He resolved to her, looking away slightly.

"You and the General have more in common than you think." Debalora said before looking away, herself. "If Aidan should be the proof of that, then I gladly welcome the idea." Her voice became a bit more serious and removed her hand from his shoulder. "I only hope that with our efforts to save Aidan, some good will come from it.. from both sides." Debalora had every right to want to hate and fight off Murdoc just as much as Tamil. He's destroyed almost everything she's acomplished, taken away Voltrick and turned him against them, even taking away Aidan. Forgiveness may never be given. But if helping Murdoc will help Aidan from a bigger enemy, then maybe it will help Murdoc have a bit of forgiveness of his own.

A few steps were made toward the door before turning back to Murdoc. "If you're choosing to stay, I'll show you to a room." she said, only looking back slightly. Gordan will be taken care of. She'll get Tamil and Draco to move him a bit later. Besides, staying here for a while may be a good form of punishment for him.

Murdoc followed Debalora, thinking over her words carefully. He could see that she was temporarily accepting him. This only reflects on how the others will feel, as he's noticed she was the more accepting of the group. He released a heavy sigh before he followed Debalora inside. No doubt the night was going to be rough for all of them.

Murdoc may not have noticed right away, but he will. When Debalora placed her hand upon his shoulder, it wasn't a comforting notion. The wound from the arrow was healed. Healed even to the point of no scarring and the fur matched as if there weren't a wound in the first place.

Debalora didn't do it to gain trust or show forgiveness. She did it because he helped Antonis and no other reason.
