| Voltrick gave Aidan a more frustrated look to Aidan's first comment. "We both know what will happen to him if he's caught." He said sternly before continuing. "No one will sacrifice themselves on my behalf..."
But then Aidan interrupted him with his second comment. Please dont go back. I don't--I don't know what... Voltrick turned back to the door to the square with a hard gaze, nearly a snarl. He refused to allow Kirill to be sacrificed for him. It was for both him and Aidan, but he was still doing it for Voltrick. Aidan was insistant, though. Like, he was actually worried about him going back for Kirill. Aidan was his top priority. He had to get him to the carriage and to safety. Kirill is making his choice, Voltrick reasoned with himself, maybe he can get out...
"If you wish it, then I wont." Voltrick said as he turned back to Aidan and turned to walk passed Aidan toward the east gate. |

| His eyes followed Voltrick walking past him, letting out a breath of relief. He honestly didn't want Voltrick to go...leaving him alone. If he were alone he didn't know what he would do to others or himself. Jonas was proof of that.
As Voltrick opened the door, Aidan followed behind him outside where the moonlight filled the small court of the Eastern Gate. The court was several yards long from where they stood to the actual gate where someone was standing. Aidan stiffened as he spotted the person, but the guard looked harmless as he waved a hand, beckoning the two near.
"Quickly please!" He ordered in a hissed voice, trying to keep the volume down as to not disturb the people who might still be awake. _________________ @ Blotch I keep the wolf from the door, but he calls me up Calls me on the phone, tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up |

| Voltrick didn't trust the individual just as much as Aidan, but in his own way. He hesitated at first, but decided to bite back his hesitant feelings on the matter. A side step was made to motion Aidan forward. Voltrick would follow Aidan; staying behind him incase someone would attack from behind. |

| As the two came nearer, the guard surveyed his surroundings before he pulled the lever of the gate, wincing as a loud click rung out. Releasing the lever, he moved and took hold with both hands the wheel that would release the gate's locks. As he turned it, gears seen in the middle of the large doors turned with it until there was a slit in the middle between the two doors.
"There's a carriage just outside." the guard said as he rushed to one door, pushing it open enough for the two of them to pass by, "Godspeed and give the General regards."
Aidan nodded in understanding and thanks as he walked towards the gate. He glanced back to Voltrick (as though to make sure he was following) and slipped through the door, exiting out to find a small hay carriage parked just a few feet away. The driver was looking at him, covered in a large cloak and hat, tipping it in greeting to Aidan. The two horses in front were shaking their heads, tired of waiting in the cold night.
He went to the back of the carriage, using the wood pieces of it to prompt himself up and into the hay that covered the cart.
"Best cover yourselves with the hay if you don't want any suspicions." The driver muttered in a cool tone, not fitting the peasant outfit he wore. _________________ @ Blotch I keep the wolf from the door, but he calls me up Calls me on the phone, tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up |

| Voltrick gave a faint sneer as he saw the condition of the carriage. He honestly expected something a bit.. bigger. ...And without hay. But its not like he ordered for the carriage in the first place, so he couldn't exactly complain about it. It was their ticket out of there, take it while you can.
Before he approached the carriage, Voltrick turned back to the compound with a hardened snarl. Kirill got them out this far, and now they were leaving him behind. And with the condition he was in when Voltrick saw him last, Kirill wasn't getting out. Voltrick denied any idea remotely signifying Kirill was sacrificing himself for Voltrick. It was all for Aidan, no one else.
A low groan erupted before he finally turned toward the carriage and boarded it as Aidan did. He would have complained about the condition, but in actuality... it was a lot more comfortable than the hard, cold ground of his cell.
He liked the idea of being freed from his cell, but since it was the only thing he knew for the longest time... he barely knew anything outside of it. |

| Making sure the two were safely in the cart, the driver turned around and pulled the reins, waking the horses for movement. With another decisive pull the cart bucked forward as the horses began a fast trot along the road leading them into the woods.
Aidan peeked his head out from under the hay he laid in, his head turned to the back of the cart as the Ministry distanced itself as they moved. He gulped before pressing the side of his head down against the soft hay, eyelids lowered halfway as he looked over to Voltrick. _________________ @ Blotch I keep the wolf from the door, but he calls me up Calls me on the phone, tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up |

| Voltrick was positioned to where he could see the ministry compound shrink and slowly fade out of view. His eyes narrowed spitefully as mixed feelings arose.
The ministry was all that he knew for the longest time. He was forced feel that it was the only place for him and the only one he should serve... But, ... it was 'how' hee was forced to feel that way. He was tortured, stabbed, nearly mutilated in everyway imaginable that any 'normal' person would be dead from.
Voltrick sneered as he readjusted himself to lay on his back; making sure the hay kept him covered. Something could have been said to Aidan at this moment... but everything all at once was whirling around in his head. Leaving the ministry, Kirill, Aidan and the incident in the passage way, ...even Murdoc going to Antonis. The whole situation made him groan to himself. |

| Aidan's eyelids became heavier as he stared at Voltrick. His mind was a blank ever since he left the passageway, the only concern he had was whether or not Voltrick was following him. He wondered to himself why he was so worried about Voltrick. There was a strange sense of connection between them ever since the night before. Maybe because of Jonas.
Not wanting to think down that path, Aidan's hand reached towards Voltrick, fingers just touching the other's arm. His head pressed against the hay heavily as his eyes closed, the rhythm of the bucking carriage seemed comforting as he drifted to sleep. It was not without a price as his dreams were filled with that haunting face, staring back at him, a cut off word almost breathing through it's cold lips.

| As tired as Voltrick was, he couldn't even try to sleep. Not only were the constant bumps, creaks, and the sounds of hooves clanking against the ground keeping him awake, but everything that just happened with their escape bothered him enough to keep him from relaxing at all. Especially Aidan, and whoever the bloody mess was...
The faint touch barely grazing his arm, quickly sent Voltrick's head turning into Aidan's direction. Aidan's eyes were already closed by the time he saw him. Had he fallen asleep already? Did he touch him accidently or intentionally?
A heavy breath through his nostrils was released as he turned his head forward again. It didn't matter if it was intentional or not. Aidan was asleep now and Voltrick didn't need to bother him. He's going to be bothered enough as it is. What happened in that passage way wont be forgotten. And it will haunt him for years to come, if he lets it.
It will bother Voltrick as well. Seeing the bloodied corpse and then Aidan, curled up in fear of what HE did... it was like reliving the past. Seeing his own sin pass on to Aidan. It happened the exact same way, the similarity between them bothered Voltrick the most. Both Aidan and Voltrick were tortured endlessly, beaten, starved, and humilated. Anyone could fall down that path after all of that. But there was a difference between them. Voltrick chose to follow Vincent back to Kelico's mansion. Aidan was forced to go to the ministry. And the one who forced him to endure all of that was laying right there next to him.
Voltrick. |
