Time: The morning Debalora made breakfast and spoke to Aidan

Tamil casually walked down the hallway were a majority of the rooms were, specifically walking towards Gordan's room. Gordan had been particularly seclusive ever since Voltrick attacked, barely anyone saw or spoke to him. Normally, Tamil didn't place himself in the cares of... someone so young. But everyone was being gathered for meal so he might as well summon the boy. Plus, he was the son of Voltrick... It would be best to get to know more about him. Even if it was just walking with him for morning meal.

A light knock onto Gordan's door was made before Tamil opened the door and peaked inside. "Ms. Pardia has made breakfast, you should..." Tamil ended mid sentence as he saw Gordan packing a bag over his desk. Not everything was being packed, but his books and other miscellenous things were placed into the bag.

Gordan arched a brow and continued packing, even if Tamil entered. "I'll eat later." Gordan announced as he put on his jacket as best he could. It was difficult before, but he had become more accustomed to dressing himself with only one arm and half of another.

Tamil's brow lowered as he opened the door further to stand up straight in the doorway. "You're leaving?"

Gordan gave somewhat of an annoyed look as he slung the bag's strap over his head to hang over his shoulder and across his back. "Yes.... I'm going to the market." He stopped to give Tamil a challenging eye. "I AM allowed to go to the market... right?" he said almost sarcastically. Everyone was uptight around here. They were good people and all, but they were really strict and nosey at times.

"Yes, I do not see why you wouldn't. But, I wouldn't recommend going by yourself."

Gordan sighed a bit and walked toward the door; assuming Tamil would move himself out of the way. "I think I can handle going by myself." Gordan remarked as he walked past Tamil and into the hallway.

Tamil have a half frown and caught up to Gordan to walk beside him. "I only said I wouldn't recommend it. We don't know who's out there and Voltrick is still to be found."

Gordan quickly stopped and faced Tamil with lowered eyebrows. Gordan wasn't as tall as Tamil, but he was tall enough to look him in the eye. "I'm not going to fear everything and everyone. Not everyone is out to kill us." Once he finished, he turned and began down the hall again. "And I highly doubt Voltrick will be anywhere nearby. You did a good job at preventing that." the tiger finished vexedly and turned into the main lobby.

Tamil was quick to follow, becoming annoyed as well. "Just because I couldn't find him, does not mean he is not still here. You have to be careful."

Gordan only grunted and exited through the inn's entrance door and into the courtyard. The gravel beneath his boots grinded and scratched loudly as he walked. The morning air was cold and moist. His warm breath could be seen with each exhale.

"Gordan, at least let me come with you." Tamil raised his voice a bit as he exited the inn.

This slowed Gordan down until he stopped to turn and face Tamil. "I'll be fine on my own. Besides, you wouldn't want to go where I want to go." Gordan impatiently said before turning around to walk forward again.

"Why wouldn't I want to go?" Tamil arched a brow and began to follow Gordan, but was quickly halted as Gordan quickly turned around again.

"You know... you are completely out of character, you know that? Aren't you supposed to be this 'tough' guy who is some kind of assassin or soldier who could care less about the 'things' us little people do?"

Tamil quickly scowled and retaliated. "What is that supposed to mean? Do you think I'm just.."

"You're asking to go shopping with me." Gordan interrupted with an arched brow. "Go do your 'soldier' things and let me do my thing." he said with a sarcastic smirk before frowning again and turning to walk toward the gate.

Tamil's brow lowered further as he silenced himself; realizing what he was doing. Tamil didn't want to go shopping, but he was careless enough to sound like he did. A low groan erupted before he hurried himself forward again. "I think you're missing the point. I don't want you attacked."

Gordan only grunted again and kept a fast walking pace.

Tamil quickened his pace until he met Gordan's and walked beside him. "At least tell me what you are looking for."

Gordan groaned as he stopped and pulled his bag infront of him. "Since you're so insistent.. And you wont leave me alone until I tell you." he sighed and pulled out the parchment he had placed in the bag before the books Tamil had seen back in his room. "Okay... I need.. Antimony, arsenic, and a liquid that could contain tartaric acid... There.." Gordan impatiently said as he moved the bag back to his back. "You happy? You now know what I'm trying to find. Can you leave me be now?" Gordan finished and walked past the gate and into the road.

Tamil's concern only grew with Gordan's list, so he continued to walk with Gordan's pace. "Why the hell are you looking for something like that? You don't need to be looking for such items, only alchemists and spell users would have interest in that."

Gordan arched an eyebrow and eyed Tamil. This reaction forced Tamil to speed up and step infront of Gordan to give a disapproving glare. "Do not tell me you are researching these arts. Why do you need these items?" Tamil asked sternly.

"There's no reason not to." Gordan replied in annoyance and attempted to walk around Tamil.

Tamil would only side step to stop Gordan from continuing forward. "There are endless reasons not to. Do you have any idea what this could get you into?" Tamil's frustration grew into irritation and anger.

"I have been studying 'this' for years. This is what I have to do, and you cant tell me otherwise." Gordan retaliated.

"I can and I will." Tamil pressed and moved his head forward toward Gordan's to come face to face with him. A scowl appeared as he did so. "The ministry hunts down people who use magics and spells for their works. I don't care if you're using it to cure the worst illness in the world. You'll explore more and use it for evil."

Gordan snarled and quickly side stepped; shoving his shoulder against Tamil's to remove him out of his way. "You have no idea why I'm studying this. And I know well enough what is good and bad about it."

Tamil turned quickly to follow. "And how would you know if it was good or bad? And regardless if it was for good, you'll be tempted to use it for evil and others will be hurt because of your carelessness. I will not allow you to continue with this heresy. It is against ministry law and you will be hunted down for breaking it."

Gordan turned around quickly to face Tamil again. "I'm not apart of the ministry! I never will. I will not follow its rediculous laws." Gordan was about to turn again, but continued spitefully. "And aren't you AGAINST the ministry? Aren't you apart of the rebellion alongside Antonis? How can you confront me about obeying its laws if you're rebelling against them, yourself."

Tamil growled, but looked around warily. "Keep your mouth shut." he said sternly, his voice lowered. "Are you trying to tell everyone where we are? We cant trust anyone around here, you cant be yelling about rebellion!"

Gordan snarled and folded his arms spitefully. "No, you and everyone else announce that for yourselves. Everyone practically already knows, I'm sure. If you're so worried about being found from the ministry, than why did Murdoc find you so easily?" Gordan growled and turned around to walk forward.

Tamil snarled in return and was about to charge after him. "Gordan, sto.."

"Do you even know WHY I'm doing all of this?" Gordan interrupted and turned around quickly. "Why I'm choosing to study what you shun like a plague?"

Tamil continued to scowl, but was interrupted before he could reply.

"Voltrick's curse."

Tamil narrowed an eye and folded his arms impatiently. "Why should it matter to you? He's the one with the curse, not you."

Gordan's eyes narrowed and glared. "You have no idea what you're talking about. See, this is why I do so much research. I have to know everything about curses and the types there are..."

"Get to the point." Tamil interrupted.

Gordan growled. "Voltrick's curse is a demonic beastial curse. It was forced upon my grandfather by the devil, himself. Its an inherited curse." Gordan sneered after seeing Tamil's expression becoming stoic. "Voltrick is my father. Once he dies, the curse goes to me."

Tamil remained silent for quite some time, but scowled before speaking again. "You still shouldn't be studying these arts. You'll take that knowledge too far and you will be hunted down for it."

Gordan's fist clenched as his neck stiffened. "And what about HIM? What happens when he dies and I get his curse?! He can control his beast, I wont be able to! I wont be able to control myself and I will kill innocent people!"

Tamil growled again. "Silence yourself! You've gathered enough attention to us already." he groaned as he looked around him. No one was around from what he saw, the morning hours were apparently too early for people to be awake. But that still didn't mean they were. "That curse will be dealt with later. We'll find an alternative means than magics. Its just too dangerous."

"Don't be so naive. There is no alternative. I have to remove his curse if I'm going to prevent myself from ever having it. I won't be responsible for the lives I WILL take if I get it." Gordan's emotions were riling up now. Tamil doesn't understand what's going on. And his narrow minded ways blocked any reasoning. "You would do the same thing in my position."

"I wouldn't reduce myself to the use of magics." Tamil's features hardened as his patience thinned.

"Then what WOULD you do, Tamil?!" Gordan yelled before beginning to pace around, only facing Tamil if he had more to add. "Would you accept the curse and let yourself kill innocent people? Would you.." he began to pant heavily. " Would you be willing to allow yourself to be hunted down like an animal because you gave up trying to find a way to prevent it?!" Gordan began pacing again, but quickly turned back to Tamil and pointed a finger at him. "No!" He shouted before Tamil could give any response. "You would do EXACTLY what I'm doing. You would break your own precious laws, that you don't even follow now, to save yourself."

Tamil fell silent, but kept his features hardened and gaze toward the ground. Would he really succumb to using magic to save himself? Tamil hadn't really thought about Voltrick's curse and what it meant to Gordan. He knew little to nothing about how or why Gordan would recieve it. He had no need to. But now this has grown out of hand. And if Gordan was right, not only do they have to worry about Gordan using magic, they also have to worry about what may happen if Voltrick dies.

Gordan panted heavily, his eyes were red and at the brink of tears. Gordan hated showing so much emotion, especially to someone like Tamil. Tamil's stubborness and unwillingness to accept what Gordan has to face riled Gordan enough to be unable to hold himself back any longer. "I will do whatever it takes. And no one is going to prevent me from doing so. I WILL NOT have that curse. And if you knew ANYTHING about what's going on, you would have some simpathy. This is the only way. So, you can go back under that rock you came from and stay oblivious to what the world is. You shun magic, but its apart of everyone's lives whether you like it or not."

Tamil scowled, but remained silent. He didn't know the complications of things, but everything inside him was against it.

Gordan shook his head spitefully with a sneer as he turned and walked down he road. "Gordan." Tamil called. "Gordan!" Tamil shouted again, but Gordan wouldn't respond and kept walking at a fast pace down the road.
